I just made this up with some ingredients I had on hand for my lunch:
Chopped smoked salmon, fried tomatoes, sour cream, black pepper and cayenne pepper on top of pan fried potatoes with a dash of parsley.

We were the first to try a new menu item at Blue C Sushi – delicious shrimp roll wrapped in cucumber instead of seaweed in a citrus sauce. Yum.
First attempt at clam chowder soup in Seattle at Library Bistro, Alexis Hotel, happy hour. Big fail. The clams were delicious, but to me the soup tasted like watery sour cream. Isn’t clam chowder supposed to be thick? At least it is in New England. I have no doubt that Seattle has good Clam Chowder. My friend recommended Ivers. At least the specialty Manhattan was delicious.

I ate this for breakfast this morning with two pieces of toast.
I spent the afternoon making a Fruit Salad for a dinner I am going to this evening. Another beautiful sunny spring day in Seattle. Ingredients: Organic Blueberries, Papaya, Mandarin Oranges, Fresh Ginger (finely grated), Honey, Fresh Squeezed Lime, Fresh Mint (chopped)

I made this salad again today, but didn’t add the mandarin oranges and replaced the fresh ginger with cinnamon. It is a sweeter softer version of the same fruit salad and I think I like it better for today.
Creating my own garlic, chili, green onion, radish Ponzu and sesame sauces was the best part. And then radiating garlic breath on everyone at the bar we went to afterward.
